My climb up the corporate ladder propelled me to executive level positions with Xerox and several high tech start-ups in Silicon Valley. I have also consulted for The Dow Chemical Company and taught career management for Lee Hecht Harrison and Mullin International.
I consider myself a change agent. Ah, change! Small six letter word…big, sometimes scary reality, but I've found we can create our career choices and tailor them to the seasons of our lives.
Originally, I hail from the midwest where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at Central Michigan University. Typical of my nickname, "Sunny" I fled the cold climate seeking a place in the sun. Since then, I have resided in both Florida and California.
As a hobby, I am an avid hiker, I love cooking and writing. I also dole out career advice in my weekly column published in the "CV Weekly."
Currently I make my home in Rancho Mirage, California, with my husband John and our dog Zolton. I love the community and actively work to make a difference. I am the Treasurer of the National League of American Pen Women, Palm Springs Branch and have been the president of the American Business Women's Association, Trendsetter Chapter. My board service also includes the Palm Springs Writer’s Guild and the Desert Sunrise Chapter of Soroptimist International.

Prior to becoming a career coach, writer and motivational speaker, I spent twenty years in the field of human resources. It offered everything I was seeking, an opportunity to be a talent scout, a compensation guru and a consultant to management. My professional career in HR provided me with numerous opportunities to coach individuals at all levels including CEO's, CFO's, COO's and all the other OO's.
